It's great fun and exercise to do axe throwing. I have other practice axes, however these are my own personal favorites. The build is very nice and the head is tight to the handle. Beautiful finish work. I like to display them also. Note that they should be left out of the leather covers to avoid rust. The balance is great and I was hitting the bulls-eye in no time. They adorn my armory wall when not in use, and this set is used exclusively by me only. Each has it's own name, thoughtfully carved by Ancient Smity on opposing sides to show on display.

Thank you for such a detailed review and for sharing those fantastic photos of the axes in action!
There's nothing more rewarding for us than seeing our creations being put to real use and appreciated by their owners. We're delighted to hear that these axes are serving you well :)
May it continue to bring you enjoyment and accompany you on many great adventures ahead!
Received this axe today and immediately took it down to my local axe throwing league.
It throws really well and is IATF compliant which was really important to me.
The build quality is extremely high and it stands up to the rigours of a rookie axe thrower really well.
The delivery time was really quick and the communication was excellent.
So happy with Ancient Smithy and you should place your order right now!
Cute little throwing axe. The handle slides nicely through the hand when tossing – already tested this baby at the club. Also loved the custom engraving option, totally used it!
I got this axe for my husband for Father’s Day and had a custom rune engraved in it for him that represents his last name and he loved it even more with the customization
I’m new to axe throwing and picked this one to practice with. so far I really like it! It’s lightweight and the handle feels comfortable and easy to grip
I ordered the axe with the engraving option and wow! It made it feel so much more personal. Now it’s not just a tool, it’s something special. Can’t wait to put it to use soon!
The axe feels great in the hand: solid grip and surprisingly easy to throw. I’ve already tested it a couple times and I’m really happy with how it performs. Definitely a keeper!
