Amazing piece it now in the collection I recommend this company
Beautiful axe, it was well crafted and sharp as can be. I bought this as a gift for a friend. Our only complaint is the head wrap could be a bit tighter to help secure the head. Other than that, it's Beautiful. I want to buy one for myself.
I bought this for a friend, it was ordered to his home. Firstly, it is beautifully made, sharp, with excellent craftsmanship. We both love the blade, i actually want to buy one for myself. The transition to the blade is so smooth I was very impressed by it. Only downside is the wrapping is not very secure, I would recommend a tighter wrap or a brass wedge or screw to help keep the head on. Other than that beautiful and thank you for the note!
Great axe, comfortable grip and sharp blade
The axe came beautifully, my only issue would be the that there is no wedge so it’s slightly loose. But we use it on smaller things it works really well. I bought this as a gift for my best friend and he loves it. We did not know that the engraving would come painted and that was a lovely touch. It made the axe stand out and look 10 times better. The leather on this axe is absolutely beautiful.

Not sharp at all with uneven angles. Uneven shape and large vertical divot. Makes me think they scabbed, or welded the cutting edge on. Just a real overall lack of attention to detail. Love that my buddy got this for me as a birthday present, but very disappointed in the quality. Also, leather cover doesn't fit and easily falls off. 1 Star.
Top notch craftsmanship. Asked for this from my kids for my birthday and was the best gift ever. I lead a fireside men’s group every week and wanted a nice axe to split wood and tinder. A real heirloom!

I just love my axe. I cant say enough how happy I am with the way the custom wolf engraving came out on the axe head on each side. The axe itself is very well balanced and I pity anyone that challenges e to bring out my inner viking

The axe was a gift for my daughter--she runs a K-7 (for now) Montessori school. She's a medieval junkie and has swords etc--we gave her a Morningstar for her sweeet sixteen. Anyway, she really likes the axe. To the best of my knowledge, she hasn't yet used it on trees (or anything else). I would buy one again and will recdommend Ancient Smithy to people I know that have the same interests

Viking Axe "Vindflaug" with Leather Wrap
Store owner replied: Thank you for your feedback! This is a classic tomahawk design, and its head is not wedged in place - that’s actually one of its advantages compared to many other axes. With each strike, the head naturally seats itself more securely onto the handle. You can also flip the tomahawk upside down and tap the bottom of the handle firmly against a solid, flat surface a few times - the head will settle perfectly into position on its own. We hope this helped you better understand your tomahawk! :)
We recently had a heavy snow and ice storm, I let it with me the entire time! Used it for chopping through solid ice in my walk and driveway. Held up and is still razor sharp! Absolute functional and pragmatic! I own a few axes and I love this one! I will be purchasing again real soon! Great handle ! Awesome balance and weight! So well made all around! Thank you again!

There is a movie called Valhalla with an actor called Mads Mickelson. He has an axe in the movie that reminds me of the one I purchased. Awesome!!! The axe feels very balanced from blade to hand. Really nice. Im sure I'll purchase again. I have also have a Damascus axe, Awesome as well! And Ive collected from a shop called Forseti. About 16 different types of Damascus blades. Really well made. Best Regards, Mike
