Handgefertigter Tomahawk „Dakuri“ mit Tribal-Gravur
At first I was skeptical, then I saw a couple of videos on YouTube and was like okay, let's try at least it is not $900 IYKYK as I have a real W belt knife too and wanted to add the hawk to my collection. So few days ago I get that AncientSmithy one, and Holy Moses, this is thing is thick... In a great way. Sharpness okay, but not to my liking, so 20 min on the worksharp bench stone (25°) and now she can shave! Chopped few pieces of wood and cut some ropes, I know, I know it is not a bushcract one. Will try next week or so to use the small spike to skin a deer, I have a feeling that should do a fine job!
First time customer, will be returning for sure... Next will be same ax but no spike, and a hammer for Christmas (wife said yes, she loves them too)!
Sehr gute Qualität und der Versand lief problemlos mit Fed Ex und Hermes. Zollgebühren fallen noch an ging aber problemlos über den Service von Fed Ex. Gerne wieder.
Ancient Smithy, this Tomahawk is awesome (engraved Dakuri). The fit and finish is rock solid and the edges are razor sharp. The tomahawk has the right amount of heft and balances well in the hand. I would feel very comfortable using it for breaching/survival tasks; and I'm sure it'd be effective in martial use. The engraving turned out perfect, I'm presenting as a retirement gift for an aviator and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for the awesome work! I'll be coming back to order a "Barong" Tomahawk for myself soon. Only ask I'd have is offer an option for darker finish (Nitride or maybe cerakote?)
I think I own about 6 of these now - all bought from Mikhail at AncientSmithy. The quality is unsurpassed. And in all honesty, I plan to buy more. :). I can't speak highly enough of this seller. The Axe looks exactly as shown, and it feels very real and powerful. Craftsmanship is 2nd to none. Exactly what I was looking for. The sheathe is perfect and holds the axe very while while moving. The team reached out, and were awesome to deal with about what my custom engravings were to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. My only complaint is the box lid was slighlty warped and doesn't fit exactly right. But not nearly enough to give anything less than a 5 star review. Stellar product.
Good quality for the price would pay a little more if it was along the lines with the 80CrV2 steel and not the high carbon. However, still very pleased with the product and the price as well as the shipping.
Ein gutes Werkzeug sollte sich vom ersten Griff an wie deins anfühlen. Dieses Gefühl entsteht durch Hunderte kleiner Entscheidungen – Balance, Proportionen, die Form des Griffs. Hier in der Ukraine ist Zuverlässigkeit eine tägliche Notwendigkeit. Ich verfeinere jedes Modell mit einem Ziel: Werkzeuge zu schaffen, die dir Vertrauen geben, wenn du dich auf sie verlassen musst.
